Over the past weekend, Dr. Cary once again volunteered his time and expertise to help patients with their dental needs at a Remote Area Medical (RAM) pop-up clinic at the fairgrounds in Harrisonburg.

Remote Area Medical (www.ramusa.org) is a nonprofit organization that provides free dental, vision, and medical services through mobile clinics across the US. These clinics deliver high-quality care to underserved and uninsured individuals who may not otherwise have access to essential health services. Since 1985, more than 230,000 volunteers have served over 977,000 individuals, providing an estimated $215 million in free care.

Throughout the weekend, Dr. Birkitt provided dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, and X-rays, helping to meet the critical oral health needs of patients in the community. His continued participation in these volunteer efforts reflects a strong commitment to improving access to healthcare and supporting public health.
